DescriptionJoin us for this hands-on lab to experience a day in the life of a Mainframe developer in a Git™ based workflow. Choose between scenarios to administer a CI/CD solution by utilizing build & deploy tools, and obtain insights into how quickly and easily you can configure the pipeline environment. Next, exploit various components and tools such as IBM Bob and IBM Developer for z/OS® on VS Code that integrate with familiar DevOps tools to develop and deploy a z/OS application using a modern CI/CD pipeline. Scenarios to showcase:
Using GitLab to view assigned tasks and access application source code stored in Git™
Coding, debuging, and building a sample COBOL application using Eclipse® or VS Code™
Committing and pushing modifications to Git™, then deploying the updated code using Wazi Deploy
Creating a zBuilder build lifecycle for building traditional mainframe programs
Configuring the deployment actions to install your application into a runtime environment
Onboarding an application to your DevOps pipeline
