DescriptionThe path to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) requires infrastructure that is ready to support new cryptographic algorithms. This session covers IP Security (IPSec) and IKEv2 enhancements planned for z/OS 3.1 and 3.2, including support for RFC 7427 — an algorithm-agnostic signature authentication method that enables RSASSA-PSS and signature hash algorithm negotiation. These updates provide the extensibility needed for future algorithm adoption, and are part of z/OS Communications Server's compliance work with the updated IPv6 certification profile (NIST SP500-267r1), building on the Gold IPv6 Ready certification held since 2011.
