DescriptionThe AI landscape is evolving rapidly, and IBM Z and LinuxONE are playing an increasingly critical role in shaping its future. With major AI innovations introduced on IBM z16 (LinuxONE 4) and expanded further on IBM z17 (LinuxONE 5), the platform now delivers powerful, differentiated capabilities for running AI at enterprise scale—directly where mission‑critical data and transactions live.

In this forward‑looking session, Elpida Tzortzatos, IBM Fellow and owner of the AI on IBM Z and LinuxONE strategy, will explore the evolution of AI on the platform and, more importantly, where it is headed next. Attendees will gain insight into how clients are leveraging the Z hardware and software ecosystem to enable both transactional and generative AI use cases, and how multi‑model and agentic AI approaches are transforming application architectures.

The session will also examine the role of IBM watsonx—across watsonx.ai, watsonx.data, and watsonx.governance—in the broader IBM Z AI strategy, including the governance, security, and operational guardrails required to deploy AI responsibly in regulated, high‑stakes environments.

Join this session to understand how AI on IBM Z and LinuxONE is redefining real‑time intelligence, enabling new classes of AI‑driven applications, and positioning enterprises for the next wave of innovation. The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with an IBM Fellow on the future of AI on the platform.
