DescriptionAccessing IBM Z NetView off the mainframe extends enterprise operations visibility and control beyond the traditional host environment. It allows external applications, services, and modern languages such as Python or Java to interact with NetView data and automation capabilities through supported CLIs and APIs. This approach helps organizations integrate mainframe operations with distributed platforms, dashboards, analytics, and workflows. It also supports modernization by making NetView information easier to consume in hybrid IT environments without replacing core mainframe strengths. In this presentation, we will examine how off-platform access to NetView can improve integration, automation, and operational efficiency.
