DescriptionUNIX System Services has come a long way since it's early days of providing a POSIX kernel for z/OS. Yet it may still feel like it came from a foreign planet, with hundreds of weirdly named commands like chown, chmod, and vi. This presentation focuses on the essential nuts and bolts of how UNIX works, how to use and exploit the new DSFS, UNION, and PROC file systems, and most important, how to fix it when it is broken.
