DescriptionMainframes remain critical to enterprise operations, yet their telemetry is often isolated from the observability platforms used across the rest of IT. In hybrid, cloud first environments, this disconnect slows incident response and reinforces organizational silos. This session explores how organizations are extending enterprise observability to the mainframe using open standards and modern telemetry pipelines. Attendees will learn how streaming mainframe performance data into common observability platforms enables shared dashboards, faster correlation, and a more complete view of system health across hybrid environments. Using a practical workflow example, the session shows how OpenTelemetry helps standardize telemetry while still supporting platform specific needs, enabling operations, DevOps, and SRE teams to collaborate more effectively and respond to issues faster.
