DescriptionThe mainframe landscape continues to evolve, new tools, new interfaces, new expectations. For experienced IT professionals, especially those who have spent years mastering traditional approaches, this constant change can be both exciting and challenging.
Change is inevitable. Growth, however, is a choice.
In this session, we’ll explore what it means to remain relevant in a rapidly shifting environment, from learning new technologies to adapting long-standing practices. This includes embracing emerging capabilities, yes, even using AI, as part of the modern IT toolkit.
We’ll also discuss the importance of balancing deep expertise with continuous learning, and how that growth extends beyond the individual, through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and helping those new to the mainframe build a strong foundation.
Drawing on real-world experiences, this session will offer practical insights into navigating career growth, embracing change, and building a lasting impact in today’s mainframe ecosystem.
Because while technology will continue to evolve, the ability to grow alongside it, and bring others with you, is what defines long-term success.
If we don’t grow, and we don’t teach, then everything we’ve learned leaves with us.
