DescriptionRecovery plans assume that the right backups exist, but during an incident that assumption is often the first thing questioned. This session focuses on the next step in resiliency: understanding whether backups are usable, complete, and aligned to the point in time you need to recover. Using IZBR as context, we will discuss how maintaining an up to date inventory of datasets, backups, and recovery points reduces guesswork during recovery scenarios. Attendees will learn why data consistency for non database managed data is especially difficult and why backup timing and usage matter as much as having backups at all. The session highlights how informed recovery decisions turn a stressful event into a controlled, repeatable process.
