DescriptionFor four days, two hours each, Geoffrey Decker, an instructor at Northern Illinois University will begin a three-part basic mainframe assembler bootcamp at SHARE Pittsburgh 2026. Using the ASSIST Assembler, he will begin with the basics of numerical data types, and then provide an introduction to mainframe Assembler from the very beginning instructions. Parts 2 and 3 will follow at future SHARE conferences. The course is based upon Mr. Decker's course he teaches to all computer science majors at Northern Illinois University and what is offered at Eli Madison Memorial Apprenticeship LLC.
